The backlight only works when pulled off of the wall. I put it back on the wall and pulled it off a couple of more times with the same outcome.
Today, I pulled it off of the wall and somehow the backlight came on. The backlight did not work at all, either on the wall or off of the wall, but the screen did work. I cleaned out the battery contacts well with vinegar and a toothbrush and replaced with new batteries. Some background we noticed yesterday that alkaline batteries leaked. My problem is that green screen backlight works when pulled away from wall (on battery power only), but backlight does not work when plugged into wall.
